Job Description

Join HSBC as a Mongo DBA Consultant Specialist and be responsible for providing 24x7 production support to Mongo/Db2 databases. You will work in a team to perform root cause analysis, provide permanent fixes, investigate database performance issues, and more.

Responsibilities

Provide 24x7 production support to Mongo/Db2 databases
Perform Root Cause Analysis and provide permanent fixes
Investigate and provide solutions to database performance related issues
Join crisis calls, participate in MIR and PIR calls
Mentor team members and provide consultancy for complex setups and Disaster Recovery
Identify automation opportunities and develop automation to reduce manual efforts
Troubleshoot and handle critical issues in Mongo environment

Qualifications

Experience in handling production issues independently and providing resolutions within agreed SLAs
Experience in Performance Tuning of the database
Ability to lead crisis calls and work on finding Root Cause Analysis
Experience in Sharding and Replication Environments
Knowledge of various monitoring tools and MongoDB backup and recovery
Experience in handling crisis calls and database patching/upgradation
