Job Description

MetLife is looking for a Software Test Engineer II to work closely with software engineers to identify code defects or regressions, write efficient test automation code, validate application functionality, and participate in test execution and maintenance of automation scripts.

Responsibilities

Adopt Agile ways of working in the software delivery lifecycle
Identify code defects or regressions
Write efficient test automation code
Validate application functionality through test strategies, frameworks, tools, and dashboard implementation
Participate in test planning and documentation
Execute test cases (automated and manual), analyze reports, troubleshoot failures
Maintain automation scripts and perform peer reviews
Analyze and repair broken test cases and failures
Investigate, diagnose, and repair complex problems and manage bug reports

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Proven experience in software testing and test automation
Proficiency in coding standards and best practices
Experience with test strategies, frameworks, and tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
