Job Description

Lead the preparation and analysis of key mechanical options for treatment plants, ensuring risks are mitigated and Project Basis of Design is upheld. Responsible for equipment layout, piping material specification, hydraulic calculations, RFQ preparation, technical datasheets, bid evaluations, and coordination with various disciplines.

Responsibilities

Lead the preparation and analysis of key mechanical options for review and agreement with stakeholders
Prepare equipment layout and civil outline drawings for waste water and desalination
Prepare piping material specification and valve material specification
Check hydraulic calculations and flow diagrams
Prepare pump head and blower head calculations
Prepare RFQ for bought out items and package items
Preparation of technical datasheets for equipment
Coordinate with vendors and consultants for document approvals
Design and prepare fabrication skid drawings
Check piping isometric and 2D GA drawings
Prepare mechanical GA drawings and MTO
Coordinate with other disciplines and site team
Undertake post project reviews and identify improvements
Ensure adherence to H&S and environmental practices
Identify potential improvements to client systems and procedures

Qualifications

BE or M Tech in Mechanical Engineering
MIMechE/MIET or equivalent professional qualifications
Detailed knowledge of design process and engineering
Good understanding of project commercial issues
Appreciation of HSE systems and procedures
