Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Accountant with experience in US accounting processes to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting principles and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
  • Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions while resolving discrepancies.
  • Manage the general ledger, including preparing trial balances and reconciling entries.
  • Summarize financial status by preparing balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other financial reports.
  • Oversee and manage the payroll process, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Coordinate the registration and renewal of payroll tax accounts with tax authorities.
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
  • Support external audits by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing necessary documentation.
  • Secure financial information by maintaining database backups and ensuring data confidentiality.
  • Train and mentor junior accountants to enhance team efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 7+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2-5 years using QuickBooks
  • Recent experience of 3+ years in US accounting
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Experience working with QuickBooks (Desktop and Online)
  • Knowledge of US GAAP or Sales tax filing process is a plus
