Job Description

The Area Business Manager will be responsible for leading a team of Business and/or Portfolio Relationship Managers at the Area level. They will drive new client acquisition, manage existing customer portfolios, build relationships with key persons in target segments, and increase book size and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Business and/or Portfolio RMs
  • Drive New Client Acquisition and manage existing customer portfolios
  • Build relationships with key persons in target segments
  • Inculcate understanding of client business models and drive identification of opportunities
  • Groom and mentor team members to achieve desired performance levels
  • Resolve location level concerns and manage channel relationships
  • Drive adoption of digital initiatives and ensure right sourcing at the location
  • Enhance market reach through trade meetings and industry associations
  • Manage TAT for the location and improve efficiency of processes
  • Mitigate risks and actively manage them

Qualifications

Qualification: MBA and/or Professional Degree preferred

  • 8 years' experience in the local market
  • Background in Credit & Sales Knowledge required
  • Prior experience in driving and managing teams
  • Good leadership, communication, and relationship management skills
  • Ability to influence and work with a team reporting
  • Team player willing to travel widely
  • On-rolls team handling experience required
