Job Description

We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for bookkeeping, accounting, taxation, audit support, financial reporting, client communication, and general administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping and Accounting
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
  • Process invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and manage petty cash.
  • Taxation
  • Assist in GST, TDS, and income tax return filings.
  • Help prepare and submit compliance reports.
  • Support in tax audits and assessments.
  • Audit Support
  • Assist in internal, statutory, and tax audits.
  • Prepare schedules and documentation for audits.
    • Financial Reporting
  • Help in preparing balance sheets, profit & loss accounts, and other financial statements.
  • Provide support in month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Client Communication
  • Coordinate with clients to gather necessary financial information.
  • Respond to client inquiries and maintain client records.
  • General Administrative Tasks
  • Maintain filing systems, both digital and physical.
  • Support the team with ad hoc tasks and projects.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Educational Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field.
  • Experience:
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounting or a related field preferred.
  • Freshers with strong accounting knowledge are welcome to apply.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office tools.
  • Familiarity with GST, TDS, and income tax regulations.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Certifications (Preferred):
  • Certification in accounting software or courses in GST and taxation will be an advantage.
