Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, as well as extensive experience in financial management.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.

2. Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

3. Analyse financial data and provide insights to management on key performance metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.

4. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and regulatory guidelines, including tax filings, audits, and financial reporting standards.

5. Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.

6. Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate projections and financial plans.

7. Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants to facilitate audits and ensure timely completion of statutory filings.

8. Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.

9. Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices, and recommend adjustments to policies and procedures as needed.

10. Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CA certification preferred.

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 1 years in a senior or supervisory capacity.

3. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures, including GAAP and IFRS.

4. Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems, such as TALLY.

5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

7. Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

8. Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of motivating teams and driving results.

9. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information and exercise discretion in handling financial matters.
