Join Intellismith as a PostgreSQL Database Administrator for a project with a leading telecom and mobile money services provider in Africa. Work on maintaining and optimizing PostgreSQL and Oracle databases.
Install, monitor, and maintain PostgreSQL software, implement monitoring and alerting.
Help in implementing backup and recovery processes.
Provide system and SQL performance tuning and business process integration.
Offer best practice guidance to the development team regarding database design and usage.
Optimize database performance and identify potential issues early.
Support user requests for access control, backup, restore, and performance tuning.
Provide online and on-call coverage for production support.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in PostgreSQL database admin.
BE/B.Tech/Graduation in computer science or related field.
Hands-on experience supporting PostgreSQL and Oracle databases.
Experience in database development, administration, and management.
Experience with integration from Oracle to PostgreSQL.
