Job Description

A Correspondent Lending Funder is responsible for thoroughly reviewing and verifying all loan documents submitted by correspondent lenders to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, accuracy of data, and completeness of information before funding a mortgage loan.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains current knowledge of Policies and Procedures related to documents and funding
  • Accurate and timely review of all loan documents including Conventional, FHA, VA & USDA
  • Follow loan checklist order as conditions are signed off and new information is received
  • Perform accurate input of all required funding fields
  • General knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, and VA guidelines
  • Adhere to strict timelines prescribed by Management
  • Flexibility to work in Night Shift or change shift at minimum notice
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ensure all changes and updates are immediately adopted
  • Experience working in a production environment preferred

Qualifications

  • Any degree with US Mortgage Underwriting experience
