Job Description

We are looking for a Procurement Coordinator to oversee the procurement of construction materials, equipment, and services for civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, knowledge of procurement processes, and the ability to optimize project costs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the procurement of construction materials, equipment, and services for civil engineering projects.
  • Develop and issue tenders, evaluate supplier proposals, and negotiate contracts.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials and services in line with project schedules.
  • Coordinate with project managers and engineers to align procurement activities with project requirements.
  • Monitor and manage vendor performance, ensuring compliance with contract terms and quality standards.
  • Prepare procurement reports and manage project budgets related to materials and supplies.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations during the procurement process.
  • Identify cost-effective solutions and continuously assess supplier performance to optimize project costs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in procurement, preferably in civil engineering or construction projects.
  • Freshers with strong procurement backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier negotiations.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Procore) is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, health and safety standards is essential.
