Job Description

Seeking a Senior Solar Design Engineer with expertise in solar photovoltaic (PV) renewable solutions. Responsible for pre and post-sales design engineering activities to deliver optimal solar PV solutions to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare proposals, plan, and design new solar projects.
  • Analyze data and prepare detailed engineering documents and drawings.
  • Develop AC and DC Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), cable sizing, cable scheduling, and provide inputs for module and Balance of System (BOS) selection.
  • Design off-grid, on-grid, and utility-scale systems.
  • Provide estimation, sales support, and tendering assistance for new solar projects.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders, EPC contractors, and clients for timely project delivery.
  • Design electrical systems for solar PV projects, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Have experience designing a minimum of 5 MW AC single plants and cumulative solar capacities of at least 50 MW.

Qualifications

  • Software proficiency in AUTOCADE, TAP, Dialux.
  • Experience designing electrical systems at voltage levels of at least 11 kV, 33 kV, or 66 kV.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • B.Tech in Electrical/Electronic Engineering required, Master's degree preferred.
  • 5-8 years experience in Design Engineering.
  • Proven experience in designing solar power plants.
  • Experience with battery storage technologies is a plus.
